RVU / branding & identity
When I first arrived in South Africa my first plan of business was to find a football team to play for. Luckily I found RVU, otherwise known as Resilient, Victorious, United. RV United creates wonderful opportunities for women growing up in the township of Khayelitscha that they normally wouldn’t have access to.
Through football, leadership, and financial trainings, RV United supports the development of life skills that enable young women to make healthy choices. The club currently consists of three divisions with over 70 adolescent girls and young women between the ages of 10 and 35.
What started out as a personal project for fun turned into a full rebranding. The founders and board were fully for it. A logo to match their name, big personality, and drive to beat the obstacles life had set for them. With an updated, clean, and timeles logo RVU would look more professional and in turn attract more funding. I also ran their social media for a season along with photography and website duties.
